FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NFL Rookie wants to make good on redemption cards promised for Leaf’s 2013 Trinity Football release this past June
Carrollton, TX (Nov. 25, 2013) – Not every packout goes off without a hitch and not every handoff with up-and-coming gridiron stars occurs without a fumble. Such was the case this summer with Leaf Trading Cards and Jacksonville Jaguars rookie offensive weapon Denard Robinson. But based on a recent delivery from Robinson and his agent, collectors will once again reap the benefit of Leaf’s commitment to the collector.
Scheduled as a three-tiered redemption card inside Leaf’s 2013 Trinity Football product, Robinson’s cards somehow managed to disappear between the two parties. Wanting to make good on his commitment to Leaf, Robinson’s agent delivered a game-used Michigan Wolverines away jersey to the company’s Carrollton, Texas headquarters. The game-worn jersey will now be used for autographed patch cards from the former Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. This represents a big step up from Leaf’s original plan.
“The fact that Denard and his agent came through with a game-used jersey from his prolific career at Michigan speaks volumes for this kid’s character,” said Leaf President Brian Gray. “Most football products in the hobby can only deliver event-worn jersey cards from the NFL Rookie Premiere. Leaf will now be delivering autographed game-used patch cards to those collectors who pulled a Denard Robinson redemption card.”
The production and delivery turnaround time to collectors is scheduled to be between 30 and 60 days. For serious football card collectors, this will be one redemption card that’s worth the wait.
